Control pump for carburettor 2-stroke
The pressure pump is used to test the diaphragm of so-called diaphragm carburettors. To do this, connect the hose of the pump to the connection of the fuel hose on the carburettor and generate a vacuum with the pump. If the negative pressure does not drop, the diaphragm is OK. If the pointer of the pump drops, i.e. the negative pressure generated drops, the diaphragm is defective and may have to be replaced completely together with the carburettor. We cannot tell you what negative pressure the diaphragm must withstand, or what negative pressure loss is still acceptable. Only the manufacturer of the carburettor can probably provide information on this.
